Anybody who has followed the real estate market closely over the past few years knows that interest rates have been on a steady low but now things are changing. After hitting historic lows in the last few years, rates have been rocketing up this last year, and they are now at their highest level in over a decade. With another expected increase on the horizon, now is the time to lock in a low rate before they go up again. Multiple offers are still common in many markets, but the pace of activity has slowed down considerably from the frenzy in our recent history. As a result, buyers who are looking to purchase a home should act now before rates go up any higher.

As anyone who has been following the real estate market knows, things have been changing rapidly. Inventory is starting to increase a bit, but we still only have about 1 month of inventory. A healthy market normally would have at least 3 months! Prices are very high right now, and there are fewer buyers competing for the same property. However, this doesn’t mean that the market is anywhere near dead. There are still plenty of opportunities for those who know where to look, and when to sell. In particular, the Brevard County area is still a hot spot for buyers. Prices for homes are still very high. So if you’re thinking about buying or selling a property in this area, don’t hesitate!
